• Your notes are stored only on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

iCloud Sync

• iCloud sync is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time in Settings.

• When enabled, your data is synced via Apple's CloudKit using Apple's own encryption.

• Jotaid developers have no access to your iCloud data — only you do.

Permissions & System Access

• Images: Inserted via clipboard paste only. The app does not request access to your camera or photo library.

• iCloud: Used optionally to sync notes across your Apple devices.

• Network: Used only to load MathJax and Mermaid libraries (for math formulas and diagrams). AI features require your own API key and explicit opt-in — no data is sent without your action.

AI Features

AI 功能

• AI features are powered by third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek) using your own API key.
• AI 功能由第三方服务商（OpenAI、Anthropic、Google、DeepSeek）驱动，使用您自己的 API Key。
• Your API key is stored in the device Keychain — never transmitted to Jotaid servers.
• 您的 API Key 存储在设备 Keychain 中，不会传输到 Jotaid 服务器。
• Note content sent to AI providers is governed by their respective privacy policies. No content is sent without your explicit action.
• 发送给 AI 服务商的笔记内容受其各自隐私政策约束。未经您主动操作，不会发送任何内容。

Backups & Exports

备份与导出

• Backup files exported from Jotaid are encrypted with AES-GCM before being written to disk.
• 从 Jotaid 导出的备份文件在写入磁盘前经过 AES-GCM 加密处理。
• You are responsible for securing exported files stored outside the app.
• 存储在应用外部的导出文件，由您自行负责安全保管。

Data Deletion

数据删除

• Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data.
• 从设备删除应用将清除所有本地存储的数据。
• iCloud data can be deleted via: Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Jotaid.
• iCloud 数据可通过以下路径删除：设置 → Apple ID → iCloud → 管理储存空间 → Jotaid。

Changes to This Policy

政策变更

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

我们可能会不时更新本政策。重大变更将通过更新上方的"最后更新"日期来体现。在变更后继续使用应用即表示您接受更新后的政策。
