Co-occurrence Matrix
The co-occurrence matrix is a unique Jotaid feature that reveals hidden patterns across your notes by analyzing how frequently they reference each other.
What It Shows
The matrix is a heatmap where:
- Each row and column represents a note
- Cell color intensity shows how strongly two notes are related
- Clusters of bright cells reveal topic groups you may not have noticed
Clustering Analysis
Jotaid automatically groups related notes using clustering algorithms. This surfaces:
- Topic clusters: Groups of notes that naturally belong together
- Bridge notes: Notes that connect otherwise separate clusters
- Isolated notes: Notes with few connections that might need linking
How to Use It
- Open Links mode
- Switch to the Matrix tab
- Hover over cells to see relationship details
- Click a cell to open both notes side by side
TIP
The matrix is most useful once you have 10+ notes with backlinks. The more you link, the more patterns emerge.
