AI Features

Jotaid uses AI to augment your thinking — not replace it. All AI features use your own API key, and your data never leaves your device for training.

Smart Link Prediction

AI scans your notes and suggests backlinks you might have missed. Open the Smart Node panel in Links mode to review suggestions with confidence scores.

Auto Title & Tags

When you create a note, AI can automatically:

• Generate a descriptive title based on your content
• Suggest relevant tags from your existing tag vocabulary

Enable this in Settings → AI.

Theme Summaries

Select a Theme note and let AI analyze all notes within it. The summary extracts:

• Key insights across your notes
• Action items and open questions
• Connections between ideas

AI Workbench

A built-in side-by-side browser for AI conversations. Import chat sessions from Claude, ChatGPT, or other tools directly as notes — no copy-paste needed.

Privacy

• Your API key is stored locally in the macOS Keychain
• Note content is sent only to the API you configure
• No data is collected or used for training
